The original "Lively Ones" no longer work as a band although the "Lively Ones" name has been registered. Jim Masoner, Tim Fitspatrick, and Joel Willenbring sometimes work together on special gigs since we live in the same area. We do not have anything that we sell. Most of the old pictures of the band can be found on this website or somewhere on the Internet. All the members of the "Lively Ones" are presently working on their own music projects. Thank you for your interest in "The Lively Ones". This website is maintained and produced by Joel Willenbring from the "Lively Ones".

"The Lively Ones" still play, periodically, in California and Nevada with only one of the original members, Jim Masoner. Jim has put together a band which plays under the name of "The Lively Ones". Jim has recently written and produced a series of songs to be used in a proposed movie.

Joel Willenbring has also worked with the new "The Lively Ones" when he is not working with the well known "Tornadoes" band. Joel has been a member of the "Tornadoes" band since 1999. Joel has also worked as a regular band musician with the blues and jazz band called "Savage City" for about three years. Joel recently recorded with "Savage City", "Dynotones", Tim Fitzpatrick's band, and Jim Masoner's project related to a movie sound track. He also does studio work for other "Surf" and "Blues" bands.

Tim Fitzpatrick still works with "The Lively Ones". Tim is also with the "Dynotones" band in Southern California. The "Dynotones" have recently recorded a new CD.

Ron Griffith lives in Texas and is presently playing with different groups and also is a song writer.

Ed Chiaverini is presently working a full time music gig. Ed does a very good one man music show in Southern California.

The Lively Ones
The Lively Ones are a famous classic surf band and regarded by many as the best Classic Surf Band of the classic surf period who performs once or twice a year. Any opportunities to see this group is a gift to you. Three of the original members still work in this group; Jim Masoner, Tim Fitzpatrick, and Joel Willenbring. Jim Masoner is regarded, by most surf musicians and fans, as one of the very top surf guitar players from the classic surf period.
